Join us for our most popular class: a 2-hour wheel throwing class designed for both complete beginners and those with some previous experience.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, starting with wedging and preparing your clay before getting on the wheel. With guidance from our instructor, you’ll have the opportunity to make 2–3 pieces, with options ranging from cups and plates to vases and a variety of bowls, including matcha bowls.
Our instructor will be there to demonstrate techniques, answer questions, and help you along the way while you get hands-on time to develop your own flow at the wheel.
What happens to your pieces after class?
Our team will trim and glaze your finished pieces with a clear glaze. See the photos for an example of the final finish. Pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 3–5 weeks after your class.

Cancellations & Refunds: Because our class sizes are strictly limited to ensure personal instruction, we require cancellations to be made at least 30 days before your class for a full refund.
Rescheduling: Rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing to muddstudiohawaii@gmail.com at least 15 days prior to your scheduled class.
Missed Classes: To respect our instructors' time and the limited spots available, requests made within 15 days of the workshop, missed classes, or no-shows cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
