Join Mudd Studio at Raku Ho’olaule’a 2025

To participate in the 2025 Raku Ho’olaule’a with our Mudd Studio, you will need to register through the Hawai’i craftsmen website, AND Mudd Studio. We have a limited amount of 10 spots for participants exclusive to Mudd Studio Members. 

Mudd Studio will be participating in this year’s Raku Ho’olaule’a, at beach camp Mokule’ia, Thursday March 20 to Sunday March 23.

During the event we will be providing firing equipment, safety gear, some glazes, as well as guidance as to how to create your own Raku pieces. In addition, we will be doing a variety of styles of firing such as Ovara, Naked Raku and Pit Firing. Each participant must have a variety of pieces that are bisque fired and ready to glaze. 5-15 pieces are the recommended amount.  Feel free to bring any glazes, keep one mind some techniques we will be using work best when burnished. Registration is $60.

The Hawai’i Craftsman Member registration fee is $95,/Non-members $170. This includes camping permit, as well as propane that will be used to fire. To read more about the event and to register click the link below

This is a public event so anyone is free to come and watch/hangout. If you are not participating but would like to camp overnight, there is a camping fee that needs to be purchased through Mokulei’a beach park.

We will create an email thread to discuss more specific details. It’s a huge list of things that we will need, we will share to see anyone already has some of these items available ( example tables , chairs, rope, tent, ETC). We will also discuss game plan for food.
